Hosted by Fort Worth Audubon Society
8:30 AM - 9:30 AM · Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park

Celebrate Birdability® Week - Birding Where You Are in the beautiful city of Mansfield! This event is hosted by Fort Worth Audubon Society, a Birdability Week sponsor. There will be two short outings, starting at 8:30am and 9:30am This accessible outing welcomes all ages and all levels of birders. We will walk slowly on an approx. 0.6 mile (total) out and back on a paved path. Bench seating available along the path. This slow walk will take us through open grasslands, wooded areas, and a small pond. We anticipate seeing resident birds and shore birds. With fall migration in full swing, we anticipate seeing a few warblers passing through! Binoculars will be available for use. Accessibility Description: The paved trail is estimated to typically be at least 5 feet wide. The majority of the trail is between 0%-5% grade, which is about a zero to 1:20 slope. There are at least 2 ADA-compliant car parking spots with access aisles at the trailhead lot. Sections of the walk are shaded with a few unshaded areas. Several benches are along the paved pathway. Stroller and wheeled mobility devices are welcome. Restrooms including accessible restrooms are on site at the pavilion.
